In Really Something Special, Liv is at a major turning point in her life, and she attempts to improve her station by making a big move from Nebraska to New York. Liv is not only starting a new job in a new city, but she's determined to find meaning in her career while avoiding all other distractions. Okay, maybe Liv is willing to distract herself by taking in as many baseball games as she can at Yankee Stadium, but that's it. Well, okay, her cousin also might be able to talk her into a much-needed makeover. But, that's it: work, baseball, and some teeth whitening. Right?

Wrong. Liv's story includes falling in love with a famous - and infamous - baseball player, threats to her budding career by jealous co-workers, the on-going presence of an unwanted frenemy, and even ethical issues that cause her to question the love she can’t deny.
